Moratorium in Death Penalty Proposed for Missouri

A moratorium is a good way to give yourself time to sort out the inequalities in a current system and to decide if you want to spend the money needed to make the system fair to all families of victim(s) and accused concerned and effective in meeting the needs of the community.

(Jefferson City, MO) -- Death penalty opponents will try again to impose a moratorium on capital punishment in Missouri.

Some 300 groups have signed petitions calling for a moratorium until a study determines whether the death penalty is imposed fairly.  It also seeks to answer questions like how much does the death penalty cost taxpayers?
