Valentine's Day Call - Support safe, affordable, and sustainable food

Give some love to each and every one of us - by supporting good food in USA!

I’m working on a campaign to support food that is safe, affordable, and
sustainable; and a food system that is fair for farmers and consumers. As
a first step, we need President Obama to finalize and implement the fair
livestock marketing rules that the USDA proposed from the last Farm Bill
– back in 2008. In order to make that happen, I’m helping to generate
hundreds of phone calls into the White House today. This can’t wait any
longer. Can you make a quick call? It only takes a minute and makes a big
impact. Here’s the number and a sample script:

1. Call the White House at (202) 456-1111 between 9am- 5pm EST. (call again if there is a back up)
2. Tell them your name and where you’re from, and then simply ask
that President Obama finalize and implement the fair livestock
marketing rules that USDA proposed from the last Farm Bill.

Or use this sample script:
“Hi. My name is ______ and I live in (city, state). As a constituent, I urge
President Obama to finalize and implement the fair livestock marketing
rules that USDA proposed from the last Farm Bill. Thank you for your
time today.”
